Music @AMP
The ultimate, expansive group music experience for ages 13–17
Young musicians will be amazed at what they can perform at the end of this five-day program, with the mentorship of teaching artist Ed Fast. Participants will play as part of a group, compose songs, and expand musically—exploring a wide variety of music, including Afro-Cuban music and jazz. Participants are encouraged to bring their instruments and will also have the opportunity to play drums, hand percussion, and marimba. The week culminates with a performance at AMP on Friday, August 4.
A successful working artist, Ed Fast has played on Broadway, in the symphony, in clubs, and on the worldwide stage. Ed knows what it takes to flourish in the industry and has a gift for sharing his expertise with young musicians, helping to expand their musical horizons.
